It's Officially Dame Time in Milwaukee

The long awaited Damian Lillard verdict has finally reached it's conclusion as Lillard is heading to Milwaukee in a 3-team blockbuster deal that also sent Jrue Holiday and Deandre Ayton to the Trail Blazers and Jusuf Nurkic to the Suns.

full trade details

This is a trade that has obvious major implications for many teams including the Miami Heat, who were the runaway favorites to land Lillard ever since the trade request. Miami's inability to land Lillard was a relatively shocking turn of events that I am in absolutely no position to complain about. When I woke up this morning, I had no idea that this would turn out to be one of the greatest days of my life and something that I will remember forever. As for the Bucks, I don't think this move could've been much better. To land Lillard while retaining the majority of the depth is not only absurdly scary for the rest of the league, but also immensely surprising. This move also comes after some skeptical comments made by Giannis regarding his future in Milwaukee in which he expressed uncertainty about tacking 0n an extra 3 years to his current super max contract. Apparently Antetokounmpo's cry was heard by the front office of the Bucks because they responded by pulling off one of the craziest trades in the history of the NBA. You can only hope that this mega trade re-enforces the bucks drive to win another title and evidently pushes Giannis to sign his 3 year extension, which would certainly extend the once dwindling championship window for Milwaukee. I am still at a loss for words and can't fit all my thoughts into just one post so there will be more to come regarding this life changing event. In the meantime, Fear the Deer and Bucks in 6!
